Promoting Employment Across Kansas (PEAK)
Qualified companies may retain up to 95 percent of their payroll withholding tax for a period of five to seven years. Companies must create at least ten new jobs within two years in metro areas and five new employees within two years in all other areas of the state. The amount of annual median wage of eligible project jobs compared to the current county median wage determines the term of the incentive.

High-Performance Incentive Program (HPIP)
Offers tax incentives to employers that pay above-average wages and have a strong commitment to workforce skills development. The HPIP provides a ten percent income tax credit for eligible capital investments that exceed $50,000. The tax credit may be carried forward for 16 years. HPIP certified companies may transfer up to 50 percent of their tax credits to other taxpayers.

Additional tax credits under HPIP may include a sales tax exemption relating to the eligible capital investment and a training tax credit of up to $50,000.

Kansas Industrial Training (KIT)
This program provides training assistance to companies involved in job creation. Training may include pre-employment, on-the-job, and classroom training. In-house instructors or vendors may deliver the training.

Kansas Industrial Retraining (KIR)
The KIR assists companies restructuring or retraining their workforce due to training for upgrades to existing technology, implementation of new technologies, diversification of existing production, and development and implementation of new production.
