Economic Development For A Growing Economy (EDGE)
The EDGE is offered to attract projects to Indiana when the state is competing against other states or countries for new jobs and capital investment. The EDGE is a refundable tax credit based on a percentage of payroll tax withholding for net new Indiana jobs for a term of up to 10 years. The incentive is phased in as the company ramps up employment up to its job commitment. A company must commit to maintaining operations in Indiana for at least two years beyond the term of an EDGE award.

Headquarters Relocation Tax Credit (HRTC)
The HRTC is available to companies that have not previously had their headquarters in Indiana and relocate their corporate headquarters, divisional headquarters or research and development facility to Indiana. The HRTC is a tax credit of up to 50 percent of the eligible costs to relocate the headquarters. To qualify, the company must have annual worldwide revenue of at least $50 million and have 75 employees in Indiana. The tax credit is non-refundable and may be carried forward for nine years.

Hoosier Business Investment Tax Credit (HBI)
The HBI is a tax credit based on net new job creation and capital investment and must be a major factor in a company decision to move forward with a project in Indiana. The HBI tax credit is a percentage of the project eligible capital investment. Certification of the HBI tax credit may for two full calendar years based on the phase-in of the eligible capital investment. The tax credit is non-refundable and may be carried forward for nine years.

Skills Enhancement Fund (SEF)
SEF is available to companies to support training and upgrading skills of employees linked to new capital investments and to support the retention or creation of full-time, permanent jobs for Indiana residents.
