BlueCap is a New Jersey-based consulting firm established in 2015. We help manufacturing, life sciences, and logistics/distribution companies make key location decisions and secure state and local economic incentives that support long-term growth.

Leadership

Gary Marx, Principal of BlueCap Economic Advisors, LLC, has 35 years of experience in economic development. Over the past 20 years, including six years with Big Four firms Deloitte Tax LLP and PwC, he has led corporate site selection and economic development incentive projects for Fortune 1000® clients domestically and internationally.
His background includes more than seven years with the New Jersey Commerce Department, where he supported the Secretary of Commerce and led the state’s business attraction, retention, and research programs. Additionally, he has held economic development roles at major gas and electric utility companies in New Jersey and New York, giving him a broad view of regional development challenges and opportunities.
Gary earned a BS in Business and Real Estate from Florida State University and is a certified economic developer (CEcD). He is an active member of IAMC and IEDC, has served as the board president of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer County, New Jersey, and currently sits on the board.
