MISSOURI INCENTIVES SUMMARY

Missouri Works
The Missouri Works program is based on job creation and capital investment and consists of a retention of a percentage of the state withholding tax for up to six years and tax credits which are refundable, transferable or saleable. Certain projects may also be eligible for discretionary incentives based on the number of new jobs, the amount of capital investment, the average wage, potential for company growth, the industry of the company, the location of the project, and the financial stability of the company.

Missouri Works Training
The program provides training for new employees as well as upgrading the skills of existing employees. Training may be customized to fit the needs of individual companies. Eligible companies must be creating new jobs or making capital investments in Missouri, operating in a targeted industry, and paying wages equal to or higher than the area average.
