MASSACHUSETTS INCENTIVES SUMMARY
Economic Development Incentive Program (EDIP)
EDIP is an incentive program designed to assist with job creation, manufacturing job retention and capital investment in Massachusetts. Incentives may include 10 percent investment tax credits, local property tax incentives, and job creation tax credits when at least 100 new full-time, permanent jobs are created over a two-year period and retained for at least five years. The tax credit is equal to up to $1,000 per job created, and up to $5,000 per job created in a Gateway City. The maximum total tax credit available per project is $1 million.
Investment Tax Credit
Available to manufacturers, certain R&D companies, and companies engaged primarily in agriculture or commercial fishing. Offers a three percent tax credit against the Massachusetts corporate excise tax for the purchase and lease of qualified tangible property used in business operations.
